1. Introduction
PhotoSpace ("the App") respects your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how PhotoSpace accesses, processes, and handles information when you use the App on supported Apple devices.
PhotoSpace allows users to browse photos and videos stored on an iPhone or Mac through a web browser over a local network.
PhotoSpace is designed to operate without uploading your personal media to developer-operated cloud servers.
2. Photos and Videos
2.1 Photo Library Access on iPhone
PhotoSpace requests permission to access your photo library to provide its core functionality.
With your permission, PhotoSpace can:
- Access photos and videos authorized by you.
- Display available photo albums.
- Generate thumbnails and media previews.
- Make photos and videos available through a local web browser.
- Allow original media files to be accessed or downloaded.
PhotoSpace only accesses media within the permissions granted by your device's operating system.
Your photos and videos are not uploaded to servers operated by the developer of PhotoSpace.
Original media files remain in your photo library unless you modify or delete them independently.
2.2 File Access on Mac
On macOS, PhotoSpace allows you to select folders containing photos and videos.
The App accesses the folders you explicitly authorize.
This access is used to identify supported media files and make them available through the local sharing service.
PhotoSpace does not require unrestricted access to your entire computer.
2.3 Browser Access
When you start the local sharing service, other devices that can connect to the service may access shared media through a web browser.
Media is transferred directly between the device running PhotoSpace and the accessing device over the local network.
Photos and videos downloaded through the browser may be stored on the accessing device.
PhotoSpace does not control how downloaded files are subsequently stored, copied, or shared.
3. Local Network Information
PhotoSpace uses local network communication to provide its core functionality.
The App may process local network information, such as:
- Local IP addresses.
- Network connection details.
- Local sharing service status.
This information is used to establish and maintain connections between devices.
PhotoSpace does not transmit your personal media to developer-operated servers.
Local network communication may use HTTP, which does not provide encryption by itself.
We recommend using PhotoSpace only on trusted private networks.
On iPhone, the optional connected Wi-Fi name display may require location permission under Apple’s platform rules. The current App uses that permission to request the network name; it does not request GPS coordinates or attach a location to feedback.
4. Data Collection
PhotoSpace does not require users to create an account or provide personal registration information.
The App does not collect or store your photos and videos on developer-operated servers.
PhotoSpace does not use your personal media for advertising, profiling, or AI model training.
PhotoSpace does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Information necessary for the App to function may be processed and stored locally on your device.
This may include application preferences, selected folder references, and temporary media data.
4.1 Optional Feedback and Email Support
If you choose to submit feedback from the App, Tipivo Lab receives the text you enter and records the submission time. No App account is required. The feedback request does not attach your name, email address, photos, videos, advertising identifier or a persistent device identifier.
Your message can identify you if you include personal information. Please avoid passwords, payment details, identity documents and unnecessary sensitive information.
Feedback is sent to our service over HTTPS and is stored in our cloud database so authorized administrators can review problems and suggestions. The local photo-sharing feature continues to transfer your media directly over your local network; optional text feedback does not upload your photo library.
The feedback service and its hosting infrastructure also process technical request information, including connection IP addresses, request times and request paths, for delivery, rate limiting, reliability and security. A separate IP-address field is not saved in the feedback record; infrastructure access logs may still contain network information.
If you contact tipivolab@outlook.com by email, we receive your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use these details to handle your request.
4.2 Retention and Privacy Requests for Submitted Information
Feedback, support messages and technical records are retained for the period needed to investigate and respond to issues, maintain and protect the service, and meet applicable obligations. There is currently no single fixed retention period or promised automatic deletion interval.
Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or delete personal information or exercise other relevant privacy rights by emailing tipivolab@outlook.com. Exceptions may apply, and proportionate verification may be needed.
Because feedback does not require an account, an approximate submission time and a brief description may be needed to locate a particular record. Uninstalling the App does not automatically remove information already submitted to us. Copies may remain in backups until they are replaced or expire.
5. Local Data Storage
PhotoSpace may store certain information locally on your device, including:
- Application preferences.
- Selected folder references on Mac.
- Local sharing settings.
- Temporary thumbnails or cached media.
This information is used to support the App's functionality.
PhotoSpace does not maintain a cloud-based copy of your photo library.
Uninstalling PhotoSpace does not delete your original photos or videos.
Files previously downloaded to another device are not automatically deleted when you stop sharing or uninstall the App.
6. Third-Party Services
PhotoSpace uses Apple operating system technologies to access photos, files, and local network functionality.
PhotoSpace does not use third-party advertising or analytics services.
The App does not require third-party cloud storage services for its core functionality.
Apple's operating system and platform services are subject to Apple's own privacy practices.
Optional feedback is hosted on Tencent Cloud infrastructure in Singapore. Support email uses Microsoft Outlook. Providers may process the technical information and correspondence needed for those services, including in locations different from your own country.
A rating or review submitted through Apple’s system review interface is handled by Apple under its own terms and privacy practices.
7. Permissions and User Control
PhotoSpace may request permissions required for its functionality.
On iPhone, you can grant, limit, or revoke photo library access through your device's system settings.
On Mac, you can select which folders PhotoSpace is allowed to access.
You can start or stop the local sharing service within the App.
Disabling permissions may prevent certain features from working.
8. Data Security
PhotoSpace is designed to provide local media access without requiring cloud-based media storage.
However, local network communication does not guarantee complete security.
Devices that can reach the local sharing service may be able to request shared content.
If the service uses HTTP, information transmitted over the local network is not encrypted by HTTP itself.
We recommend:
- Using trusted private networks.
- Avoiding public or untrusted Wi-Fi networks.
- Stopping the sharing service when it is not needed.
- Keeping your devices and operating systems updated.
PhotoSpace cannot guarantee the security of files after they have been downloaded to another device.
Optional feedback sent to our cloud service uses HTTPS and application-layer encryption in transit. Authorized administrators can read submitted feedback after it reaches our service. These measures do not provide a guarantee of absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
PhotoSpace is a general-purpose photo and video browsing utility.
The App is not specifically directed toward children.
PhotoSpace does not require users to submit personal registration information.
Parents and guardians should supervise children's use of devices and shared media.
10. Your Privacy Choices
You can control access to your media by:
- Managing photo library permissions.
- Selecting or removing shared folders on Mac.
- Starting or stopping the local sharing service.
- Removing the App from your device.
Depending on applicable law, you may have additional rights concerning personal information.
For privacy-related questions, please contact us using the information below.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, applicable laws, or our data practices.
When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date will be revised.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
